Database Administrator

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Database Administrator. In this role, you may either strengthen our internal team or be placed directly with our clients. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing databases. You will ensure data accuracy, security, and accessibility for the appropriate users, and provide support in resolving data-related issues. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain database systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and performance of the databases.
• Perform backups, recovery operations, and database migrations.
• Monitor database performance and optimize queries and storage for maximum efficiency.
• Implement security measures to protect data from unauthorized access and threats.
• Provide support to developers and end-users for data-related inquiries and issues.
• Document database configurations, procedures, and security protocols.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a database administrator or in a similar role.
• Experience with database systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and database optimization techniques.
• Experience with database security and encryption methods.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Experience with cloud-based databases such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or Google Cloud SQL is an advantage.
