Network Security Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer to join our team. In this role, you can support our internal IT team or be deployed to clients. As a Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security solutions that protect networks from threats. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement network security solutions to protect IT systems from attacks and vulnerabilities.
• Monitor network traffic to detect suspicious activities and respond to security incidents.
• Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify potential threats.
• Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security systems.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to investigate and resolve security issues.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and policies.
• Stay up to date with the latest security trends and technologies to keep systems current.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a network security engineer or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and SIEM tools.
• Experience with network protocols and cryptographic methods.
• Familiarity with security standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
